Grenfell Tower fire – Simon Cowell single release date as ‘Celine Dion joins’ | Music | Entertainment

The singer joins the likes of Emeli Sande, Robbie Williams, Liam Payne and The Who on the record, it has been claimed.

Journalist Philippa Tomson of Good Morning Britain also said the single’s release date has been pushed back to Wednesday at 8am, after initially being primed to come out today.

Writing on Twitter, she said: “Celine Dion, Robbie Williams, Emeli Sande. Some of the stars recording the Artists For Grenfell single. Released on Wed. More on @gmb MON.”

Yesterday a large number of stars were seen turning up to a Notting Hill recording studio to deliver their contributions.

Among them were the likes of Sande, Paloma Faith, James Blunt, Louisa Johnson, Pixie Lott and Leona Lewis.

Rita Ora, Matt Terry, Ella Eyre, Tulisa Contostavlos, Carl Barat and Kelly Jones were also among those photographed at the location.

Cowell had said last week:  “Until that last note has been finished, we will not be off the phone.

“We started 24 hours ago and already we’re getting calls coming in, mainly from Brits.

“A lot of London artists, people like Skepta, Stormzy, Emeli Sande, The London Community Gospel Choir, all wanted to be involved.”

The song is a cover of Simon and Garfunkel’s Bridge Over Troubled Water.

Theresa May has agreed to waive VAT on the release.
