The likes of Tulisa, Emeli Sande and Pixie Lott were seen on ITV’s Lorraine today as they arrived at a west London recording studio to record their parts.
The track is a cover of Simon and Garfunkel’s Bridge Over Troubled Water and is due to be released on Wednesday.
“It’s such a horrific time,” Tulisa said.
“It’s amazing when people get together and do the right thing.”
Louisa Johnson said: “I feel honoured to be a part of it.”
Pixie Lott told reporters: “It’s devastating. Anything we can do to help, we should.”
"It's really inspiring to see people come together and it gives you hope in humanity," Emeli Sande remarked.
Gareth Malone admitted that “there’s a lot of anger, a lot of fear, a lot of pain” right now, as it is revealed that he has led a 300-piece choir formed of local residents.
Dan Wootton told Lorraine: “It was incredibly emotional, as it included a teenage girl who lost her home.”
