The Brit will be hoping to retain his Drivers’ Championship which he won with two races to spare last year.
Hamilton has spent time in the off-season resting and recovering but he has since taken to Instagram to show off his latest venture.
The four-time world champion has been snow boarding and skidooing in the hills of Japan.
And he posted an inspirational message on his social media platform telling of his hopes to have another successful year and claim his fifth title.
“2018. A chance to revisit every goal, every challenge, every dream,” Hamilton wrote on Instagram.
“A chance to be driven, hard working, positive, and everything you want to be, all over again.
“I will never stop, I have no finish line.
“Join me this year in reaching beyond your wildest dreams. #TeamLH #LetsGo.”
The post was Hamilton’s first since he resurrected his Instagram account.
The 33-year-old found himself in hot water on Christmas Day after sharing a story of his young nephew dressed up in a fancy gown and he can be heard telling him “boys don’t wear princess dresses”.
Hamilton has been heavily criticised for negatively stereotyping his nephew and he has deleted the post and apologised for making “inappropriate comments”.
However, the Brit then deleted all of the posts on his account, which had nearly six million followers.
