Manchester United are reportedly eyeing a move for RB Leipzig winger Emil Forsberg.
Jose Mourinho was in attendance at Sweden vs Italy on Friday night and was casting his eye upon Forsberg as he weighs up a move to take the flier to Old Trafford, according to the Daily Mail.
The 26-year-old starred in Stockholm, winning man of the match in a game which saw the Swedes take a 1-0 lead to Italy for the second leg of their World Cup playoff this evening.
Forsberg shone for Leipzig last year, playing 30 times in the Bundesliga as they finished above Borussia Dortmund to finish second to Bayern Munich.
Leipzig have continued their form into the current campaign, sitting second once more and impressing in their debut term at Europe’s top table.
Mourinho will have also been checking up on Red Devils duo Victor Lindelof and Matteo Darmian who both started the first leg.
Darmian, who has played just three times in the Premier League this term, came closest to equalising for the visitors, striking the post.
Sweden kept Lindelof in the heart of their defence despite his tricky start to life at Old Trafford.
The big-money summer signing is yet to start a top-flight game and has come under fire for his displays since completing a move to United.
Mourinho has form for using the international break to scout targets, including watching Ivan Perisic as Croatia faced Ukraine in March.
Would Emil Forsberg be a good signing for Manchester United?
