THE OFFICIAL Coachella 2018 lineup has been released, and the R&B and hip-hop heavy lineup includes Eminem, Beyonce, and The Weeknd as the headlining acts of the three day California-based festival.
Beyoncé was set to headline in 2017, but rescheduled to headline in 2018 due to her pregnancy with twins Rumi and Sir Carter. Eminem appeared on the main stage in 2012 as a surprise guest of Dr. Dre, and The Weeknd has performed a total of three times at Coachella.
Additional acts including Cardi B, Tyler The Creator and Post Malone, suggest the festival is switching directions for a more rap and hip hop-centric event – a departure from previous years which have often been a mixture of various genres.
The festival is continuing their three-day weekend, running two separate weekends with the exact same lineup. Weekend One runs April 13-15 while Weekend Two runs April 20 through 22.
